Carlyon Bay,  Cornwall.

You can always expect seasonal, local food and a warm welcome at our wonderful restaurant.  Now in its incredibly successful third year, Edie’s is run by acclaimed chef, Nigel Brown, returning to his home county of Cornwall after an international career as a chef, to open Edie’s Kitchen, a family restaurant with local produce, high quality food and great service at its heart.

After twenty years spent working with culinary luminaries such as Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons and  Bill Granger at his eponymous Sydney restaurant, Nigel has brought his well-honed skills and food flair to the beautiful Cornish setting of Carlyon Bay, Cornwall.

His commitment to using the freshest ingredients in their most flavoursome combinations shows in everything he cooks.  Dedicated to creating menus that appeal to all ages and appetites, they are united in being generous, fresh and unfussy.  He also ensures that the menu is refreshed monthly so there's always something new to try at Edie's.

Edie's is a true family venture, Nigel is joined by his wife Kelly.  Bringing her warm, welcoming nature and a wealth of hospitality experience (she has been general manager of many high profile restaurants including Blanc’s) she is dedicated to creating a relaxed atmosphere and truly efficient service.

Edie’s (pronounced 'EE-DEES', not 'EDDIES') is named after Nigel and Kelly's first daughter Edie, with the ‘I’ picked out in green as a nod to their youngest daughter, Iris.  The family live locally and were excited about becoming a part of the community that they serve, with Edie’s Kitchen welcoming both locals and visitors alike.

Nigel says, “I’ve always dreamt of coming back to Cornwall and opening my own restaurant. I’m really excited about using locally sourced produce, delivered to us daily to create an ever-evolving menu.  Kelly and I are passionate about making Edie’s Kitchen become the place to visit for fresh, delicious food and a great atmosphere.’
